Who will be the next Google animal star?

Google Zebra filter
After having named its two last filters Panda and Pinguin, what will be the next web actors charming (or despised) animal?

Both share a big sympathy element: the Panda for its slowness and its black-circled eyes that make an adorable cuddy toy, and the Pinguin for… Happy Feet (how a waddling animal could be antipathique?). And both have low-key colors: black and white is the new rainbow.

Who is still competing in the animal kingdom for the next version of the filter?

  • the zebra: friend of the children who like to draw it, it is basically a striped horse who likes to smile
  • the skunk: a priori not very sympathetic for its smelly gifts, it knows how to play with its seduction factor (think about Pepé Le Pew with its French accent)
  • the white Bengal tiger: a bad-boy side (for the bad sites that follow the rules), but also an endangered animal, and a blue-eyed genetic mutant, for the sake of it
  • the killing whale: it keeps also a carnivorous side (for bad-ass SEO), but Free Willy helped its image, especially for the kids in us
  • the bald eagle: this bird of prey could symbolize the monitoring of web cheaters, but as a symbol of the United States, it is definitely too connoted
  • the Dalmatian: a dog (protector and friend of man), which is besides the mascot of US firemen, even if it makes directly think about Walt Disney's 101 Dalmatians
  • the European badger: the emblem of Harry Potter's Hufflepuff house which values are hard work, patience, justice, and loyalty (and this animal uses latrines in its burrow, which is uncommon enough to be precised)
  • the African striped weasel: quite similar to the skunk without being that known, it has great potential as a nocturnal hunter of wild Africa
  • the Dall's porpoise: if it looks a bit like the orca, it has a less carnassial image than it (its fish and squid diet counts for a lot), especially since it is often accidentally killed by salmon fishing trawls
  • the polar bear: another stay-at-home-looking bear, but with a fetid breath of raw fish and seal meat, that, given the global warming, will not last very long in the wild, so we'd better hurry up
  • the Holstein dairy cow: a nice, friendly and peaceful ruminant that gives milk to the children

I can already see two or three of them who could make it to the next level… And you?
